Our Story

Our story begins with WithAfrican.com — the original website connecting African businesses with their communities across Canada. Registered as With African in Canada, it was founded on a simple belief: the businesses that keep our culture thriving deserve to be found.

For more than 20 years, our main service has been printing yearly calendar magazines — hand-distributed to Ethiopian business stores across Canada every Ethiopian New Year. Long before the digital age, those calendars kept our community connected to its time, its traditions, and its businesses.

WithAfrican.com was instrumental in converting that physical printed directory into digital format — maintaining and growing the list throughout the years so our community could find its businesses with ease, anytime and anywhere.

As our community grew, so did the vision. The Ethiopian and Eritrean — Habesha — community needed a space of its own: a directory that speaks its language, celebrates its food, and brings its businesses together in one place. That is why we created with Habesha.

Today, with Habesha serves as a bridge between our community's trusted traditions and the modern convenience of online search. Our directory makes it easy for customers to find Habesha businesses anytime, anywhere — while giving those businesses the visibility they deserve.
